lets hope he's ok and home for christmas...!! The severe spinal injuries are a concern, I hope they are not so severe that it curtails his ability to work. Regards JD |

Some people will do anything to get a free sunroof, although I understand from the driver concerned he is going to offer the vehicle for open top tours.

“We would urge drivers to slow down a little and to make sure they wear safety belts" I for certain always wear mine, passenger in the car or not. I know there are rules stating taxi drivers exempt from wearing them, but at the end of the day is it worth it to leave it off ? |

I was going to suggest you donate your old one as you don't have one nowadays, but the captains already cracked the jellyfish joke, so its bit pointless really? In fact, its bit like the GMBPDB.

I for certain always wear mine, passenger in the car or not. I know there are rules stating taxi drivers exempt from wearing them, but at the end of the day is it worth it to leave it off ? Apologies for going away from the actual thread here; and I send my best wishes to the driver for a speedy recovery; BUT ............... if you insist on wearing your seatbelt at all times then maybe you would think again if in the same position I was when I too felt like this; unfortunately when you are wearing a seatbelt it is a weapon in the hands or feet of your passengers, the guy sat behind me seemed fine - until he put his foot in the belt and then pulled it so tight I couldn't move; just before he produced a knife . . . . I'll wear a seat belt on long journeys but please don't take the risk round town; the execption is there for a reason and that is safety; you might get slightly injured in a crash but you might get killed for wearing one

The driver was back at work within two days on another cab, the story was wildly exaggerated, but some of us knew that, and at least one person on here tried to capitalise on what he didnt know....again. CC |

I'm sure the 'ant hill mob' will stop and dastardly deeds, with their faithful car 'chuga boom', Clyde, Dum Dum, Pockets, Snoozy, Softy, Yak Yak, and Zippy will not let us down! CC |
