Yes the silly season has well and truly started!.
Absolute nightmare tonight, nutters everywhere!.
It got so bad I had to close the door at the base.
I'm on every weekend now until christmas, god help me!.
I'm off all over the new year for the first time in about 10 years, my mates getting married, a few sherberts and a knees up, I can't wait.

Merry christmas to you all.

I know Friday was mobbed out with a fair share of idiots.

Find out about Saturday later, but doubt it will be much different.

This is indeed the problem with PH, they are darned if they do as they shouldn't be and the hacs have a go, but if they dont they get a mouthful of abuse or as you point out even worse!!!

You see, if they'd legalise the death penalty for that, I cant see it happening

Does the taxi amd private hire industry really rely on one month a year for a living, and two late nights a week? 8 hours a week may be good for part times and benefit claimants, but for those of us whose income is solely derived from driving a TAXI, there are 52 weeks in a year, and 168 hours in a week.

In Glasgow there is a Glasgow City Council Volkswagen Caravelle that patrols the City Centre with two police officers inside. On the side its marked "Taxi and Private Hire Enforcement."

No one twists your arm to drive a cab jimbo and as Gateshed angel once said, the world doesn't owe you a living.

True JD but relying on maybe 2 busy nights per week isn't in the job description

I would love to see this in West Lothian, here we have PHC's ranking opposite pubs and night clubs, and the police don't care. They just drive right past.

They are not Police mate, they are Glasgow City Council Enforcement Officers.

Basicly doing the rounds checking for defects, paperwork etc etc

I have never seen them move or attempt to move any PH allegedly "ranking up" though.

The vehicle in question......

This stick I am proffering has two ends, JD, and you have, with your remarkable talent for grasping the wrong end have once again unerringly chosen the oppposing end to that which I was offering.

I was making the observation that an awful lot of people who contribute to this site appear to take the view that December is the only month of the year where it is possible to make a living, and that Friday and Saturday nights are the only times that Taxi's and PH are required. 10/168, or about 6% of the week. I manage to make a living by avoiding working those very hours, no arm twisting required, been doing this for over twenty years now, indeed, the world DOES NOT owe me a living, never asked it to provide me with one.

Something quite swift and immediate and obviously without trial would suffice. We don't want those bloody wishy washy campaigning liberals getting involved in cases where people 'claim' they were waiting for relatives.
