ive read on another forum that "if your for hire light is on you dont have to stop at all for anyone only cant refuse stopped on rank" if this a london thing or a country rule a i cant find it in the acts or on here |

I think if your roof light is on in your manor, then you are advertising your wares, so if someone takes you up on that invite, then you should stop. I agree most don't, but to the letter of the law you should.

what i wanted was the exact law our local laws dont say we have to or dont only the ranks rules so when im passing a fare going on a phone booking bylaw does the meter have to go off just to be put back on when i get to the booking (is messes up my totals so i think ill put a kill swith on the for hire light) |

I have a kill switch inline to the top light, its off most of the time, if I don't like the looks I sail by, also all doors locked, stops the idiots opening your doors as you stand at traffic lights |
