If someone get in your cab off a rank, they say right we are just going to pick someone else up round the corner [its my bird and she's p^ssed out of her skull, she's ok, she is laying in a door way] words to the effect, well that goes through your mind

can that be refused, as the hire in the first place was the bloke that got in the cab first, otherwise I would have drove by if I had known

another one is, can you pull off the rank and meet us round the corner, we have all had this when they say no we don't need you now or there are say more than you can carry

can the hire be refused, I don't pull off the rank empty, but some have got it sussed and get in the cab to keep a hold of you

whats the legal

I'm off work, not working, but body clock all to pot so got up to make some tea.

You have the right to refuse a hiring whether you are HC or PH.

However if you pull off the rank or pick up, with someone to pick up en-route, I doubt you would be legally able to claim payment if you chose to terminate the hiring before you reached the requested destination.

Personally I work on the asumption that if a person cannot even make it to my vehicle they are not fit to travel in it.

Anything or anyone can be refused, if you have reasonable grounds to do so.

A p***ed up bird is more than enough evidence to refuse.
