Ha ha ha ha... Nobody geed up here Sussex. Especially when it comes from someone who isn't even in the trade.... or are you.. you see that is why I DON'T take you seriously.

The day that you reveal exactly who you are and exactly where you work will be the day that I actually take on what you say.

But your constant examples about knocking Brighton & Hove express to me how jealous you are...

In fact why don't you come clean now. Why don't you tell all of us who you really are now that it is all but over for the fine print.

But I reckon you will not because you are not really sure of your convictions.. are you!! You prefer to hide yourself away!! Let's face it... you have written several thousand words.... and not only on this forum. But what does it all mean.... NOTHING. What have you achieved NOTHING. It would all mean so much more by putting your name to your postings (pretty much like Dusty's done & dusted M&R) and stating your exact position because until then I will always regard you as NOT being in the trade. I can pretty much guess that you do not work nights.. all your postings a far too early to be a proper night driver.

Dont to this as an insult to you or a nasty criticism...take it as a challenge. Look at it as a new dawn in your life... be that butterfly coming out of your cacoon ( or perhaps a moth trying to flitter blindly towards the light )

Now before anyone tells me to reveal myself, well I am easily traceable if anyone can be bothered.

Yes Sussex. we all know what your views and convictions are. What we dont know is WHO you are.

You have completely dodged my challenge to you to finally come out from your secrecy. You have swiftly side stepped the issue.

The whole point being that ANYONE can post on here. Postemen, milkmen, bricklayers. in fact anyone who has no connection with the trade whatsoever.

This, unfortunately is a big downfall of this forum. Although before anyone jumps on this point I have made I will state that although is has this downfall, it is still a great source of information and input.

I really fail to see why you do not come out. Why are you so afraid??? You are very capable of hiding behind your pc but too afraid to put your name to anything! A man of many words but hardly a man of conviction.

I think we need to get something into perspective, the fact that people can post on here anon, is the reason that 'it is still a great source of information and input'. info@taxi-driver.co.uk gets many sources of info sent to them in confidence, because they don't care about the ID of the source, just the info provided.

Yes it would be nice if we could all have our details out on show, but just take a look at some of those in the trade in say Glasgow. If you were a driver there, would you like to come on TDO and say a certain firm is drug running, under your own name, or would you prefer to alleged it under a pseudonym?

What if Sussex was a journeyman on your association, would you still treat him as one of the lads, or as a two faced so and so?

Anonymity is something that has been discussed on many forums, not just taxi ones, and I feel the answer is if you don't wish to take any notice of an anon, or a pseudonym, then don't take any notice of an anon, or a pseudonym.

To a certain extent I atually agree. But then as this is a taxi /private hire forum then one would presume that the comments within should be from those within the trade and not from those outside otherwise the forum might just be a free for all from all and sundry.

My point would be that Sussexman has made an enormous amount of postings, some of which I agree with, some of which I do not and I would like to know who this person is and what part of the trade he is from. It is a natural curiosity and I think it is about time he revealed all.

I think you would be very surprised as how much I have put myself out for drivers and to the extent of getting a vote at a recent AGM for a journeyman who was recently awarded a new plate to be allowed to come on to the membership. If it was left down to others he would have been off as soon as he had got his plate.

True, but then it is quite difficult to ignore ignorance at times

The main issue is that it is soooo easy to throw comments about when you can hide behind annonimity.

However, amazingly Sussexman has remained distinctly quite on the issue raised.

Never quiet me. But you are falling into the trap of taking more notice of the author of a post, than the content.

If you doubt what I say, you have two options, debate the issue, or ignore me.

Will I give my full inns and outs to the world via TDO, I don't think so. I'm quite happy saying what I'm saying, and until those behind TDO change the entry criteria, it's going to stay that way.

Well I was unaware that a limit was being put on replies. However I must have answered that question a dozen times or more here on TDO, and elsewhere.

I don't believe people are defending my anonymity, but the right that I should have anonymity if I so wish. As for you being amazed, well to be honest I amazed that you wish to know my inns and outs, perhaps you could elaborate.
