Can we use our phone when we are sitting stationary as i heard that a driver got a blister just for moving a few inches up the rank when a busy was alongside him. Silly sod

Silly sod's right, fancy not noticing a plod along side you! There again i think the said plod's being a bit ott. However you (anybody, not just taxi's) can use a two way radio/cb thingy legally. Depending on if the copper has had a bad day. If he has then yes, if not then no.

Please be advised folks that the Phone also has to be secured in a cradle of some sorts in order for it to be legal as the phone either resting on your dash or anywhere else is not deemed to be secure, sorry if the link tells you this but i have not clicked it
