How do we manage when we are on a day off ie going out for the day or going on holiday, the chester council who i work under are using the goverment reg as from 1 july as we all know, they should add on the form be carefull what we eat so we are not suffering flatulance so we dont
contaminate the seats, if they think i am going to stand outside my car to smoke when i am off duty, they have got to be joking...

The purpose of the law is to ensure that there are no smoke residues etc in the vehicle as such even off duty smoking in the car is an offence and subject to a fine if caught

It is the same for everyone. If you own a pub you won't be able to smoke in it even when you are closed.
