i've been getting some e-mails lately from addresses that would appear to be from members of this forum. all the e-mail have had attachments that have sent the virus detector in to overdrive, and with nothing more than things like 'can you check this please' or 'is this yours?' as the message.

i apologise if any of you HAVE been trying to contact me via direct e-mail cos i've deleted the mail. if you do want to contact me do it via a PM.
may i suggest that we all do a quick scan of our systems to weed out any auto mailers.

from now on if i get any e-mails from members i'll PM you back to see if you ment to send it, if not then you caught something on your system...

The spamers are getting very clever.
If it has an attachment then just delete it.
I would have thought that anyone on TDO would only ever send links.
Im on BT Yahoo and they really do kill all known bugs 'dead'.
