| Post subject: | Annoying Lincoln PH !!! |
Today we had one of the Lincoln PH boys visiting town he decide to park his vehicle for the best part of an hour in the middle of the main drop off and pick up area at the top of the pedestrian precinct making it very difficult for the disabled drivers to access the disabled parking bays along one side and for anyone else to pull on or off to drop off/pick up passengers This area is used by both taxis and non taxis for this purpose and is often chaotic at the best of times so for him to plonk his car in the middle and dissapear off caused mayhem And of couse it was the local taxis that got all the flak for his being there Not sure if I'm allowed to name and shame the vehicle on here so if not then the mods are quite welcome to edit the post It was Lincoln PH plate 96 never saw the driver so don't know his name |

cos our penny pinching police force decided to do away with the traffic warden there is NO parking enforcement in the town unless the police have absolutley nothing else to do the community support officers that patrol the street don't have the authority to issue parking tickets !! |

Oh I take it your council hasn't yet sold out to NCP.
When that happens it will be minutes from parking iffy to a ticket, and then maybe half an hour till tow time.

We had it for over a year without enforcement. It has now been 6 weeks with enforcement and the streets are clear.

Someone has sent me an e-mail re: this thread.
Lincoln's got a new licencing enforcement officer, a new broom, sweeping clean. Now,if you have a photo of the vehicle, you could e-mail it with a complaint to:- michael.rigg@lincoln.gov.uk Or you could have removed the air from the tyres.... Alex |

The enforcement officer will not have any powers in Stamford where the car was parked. |
