But thanks for the update John - the news of the protest must have come after the first article.

Interesting that it's Dawn French that's dealing with this for the council.

No doubt the BBC are planning a sitcom called "The Council Officer of Chelmsford".

Miss French told me just now that Chelmsford are issuing 18 new plates today and de restricting in three years time. I suspect that is subject to change at anytime.

I wonder if they have assessed latent demand, and the price of plates? If not, then why not now instead of three years time?

What other reason is there to delay, other than the financial loss to the black market plate price. But will they be brave enough to acknowledge such an illegal stance?

The reason Sussex, is cowardace
the yelp to councillors from the cabbies will be about car loans
so the 3 years will be a warning to the market whilst there will be relief to pay car loans.
