Does anyone who drives on a system have to pay holiday settle?
If your off work for a weeks holiday and whether you take your radio out and hand it in or keep it fitted in your vehicle (insured), to work on the system again when you return your obliged to pay a nominal fee to the operator. In this instance £20 per week. The duration of your "absence" doesnt matter, it's £20 per week for every week your away or you dont drive on the system again.

This was tried at an office I was with some years ago. We all refused to pay, so management sacked the idea.
A victory for the drivers. :D

I think if a driver is 100% genuinely sick then a good operator should come to an arrangement with them. Maybe token amount for the rent of the radio.

If a driver is on his hols, then it could be said it's only fair to pay the full amount, as he does have another 50 weeks of the year to find that money.
