I know this stretch of road rather well. It's a long straight section, which reduces from 60mph down to 40mph at Hubberts Bridge crossroads, a junction that has seen many fatal accidents over the years. There are now two "truvelo" forward facing cameras at the junction. Speed cameras where there ought to be placed. The magistrates were clearly wearing bullshite deflectors.

What I mean Jimbo is after his ban, could the council take away his taxi badge,/licence, as he will have to inform them of his conviction, or now that the court has dealt out his punishment is it now done and dusted, so the council cannot attempt to punish him again

As the driver has been banned I would have thought the council would already have suspended his badge. The question when he gets his drivers licence back, is will the council consider him as "fit and proper" to have his badge re-instated?
