Protests are to start from next Saturday. A good thing or bad?

Good if you drive a diesel as last time the roads were pretty clear apart from taxi/PH. :D

Buy biodiesel, made from waste oil, and drive past the big long lines of cars queued for their rationed dirty diesel.

I looked at one of the bio diesel web sites last week. You could buy a 20 litre drum of the stuf for nearly £25. That is dearer than diesel????????

Where was that?? Here in St. Helens, I'm right in the middle of Liverpool and Manchester, and in this area, the price ranges from 79p per litre to about 93p per litre.

In a tv article on bio diesel a few weeks ago down here the plant offering it were selling for near on £1 a litre.

You had to drive miles out to get it.

I'll stick with normal deisel.

I suppose it depends where you live. In the north west, there are plenty of sellers, so prices are lower as there is more competition. I think they'll make a killing when the protests start.

I just wonder what people will be driving when oil runs out? If we can send a man to the moon surely we can find a lasting alternative to a by product of oil? All these people concerned about green house gasses should be pushing to find an alternative to petro carbons. Perhaps the tax revenues generated from fuel duty is the reason why experimentation in this field is non existent?

Regards

JD
