I had a fare to Leicester today.

I dont do sat nav, as I believe they are needed by rank amateurs, I mean, someone travelling down a motorway....wtf do they need one in the fron t window? Have we suddenly stopped putting junction numbers on signposts?

I prefer to stop in petrol stations where the staff can bearly converse in English. That aside, what the chap did do was kindly pass me the map, left at the second roundabout, first left. This information took 10 minutes of my life to obtain.

How much are those Sat Nav's again?

from £60

10 minute stop on 1 job

3 a day

7 days a week

52 weeks a year

20 years = ?

or buy an a-z in any strange town? £10 each...

mind you, most taxi drivers dont stray far from a welcoming rank

I take it you caught leicester on a good day when the ring road wasn't gridlocked and the shopping traffic actually knew which lane they wanted !
