That time of year is approaching to close down one financial year and open another.

What do you do about your return? Do you use an accountant or do it yourself?

I'm getting a little Pi$$ed off with paying an accountants fees but not getting much in the way of advice and I'm about 15 years out of date with what is claimable and when.

Is anyone aware of any decent forums like TDO that may deal with tax matters?

I use an accountant for peace of mind as much as anything else.

I do it myself, have for years.

Just get a copy of your last one done by an accountant and just fill the new one in the same way with your current figures.

If for any reason you miss calculate, the tax folks will just send you the correct amount.

If you do it online it's quite hard to work it out wrong.

I've got some software that will do it all for you. £4.00 will get you a copy via email.
