The government have recieved a paper from a university paid for by Grater Manchester PTE regarding dlt or demand responsive transport.

its a critique about the schemes and how to target success, and it advocates subsidy for taxi and private hire firms in certain cases, mainly where there is shared transport.

the paper says that where demand led transport has been a success it has done so from small rural taxi firms

it raises key issues in policy making but the thrust of the paper is that these buses are ours! and not bus companies.

have a read its riveting its on the transport website under "whats new"
should be food for thought for those who want extra revenue, sick of sitting on taxi ranks. and will get off thier arses and organise.
