We had out 7% fare increase today, and all the halda meters where set so we thought.
Then at 10PM they where supposed to go onto tariff 2 a £3.00 start, tariff 1 being a £2.00 start
This did not happen until midnight  so someone has goofed, so its back to the golden mile once the chip has been reset

Hi Skippy,
Been there and got the T`shirt with that problem...when ever we get a fare increase in Newcastle,my meter is usually 1 of the last to get done.
I can remember a few years ago now, they gave us an increase based on yardage that the meter agent told the council would not work.
Newcastle being Newcastle ...at the time..didnt listen,we ended up with no legal fare sructure in the city....only way we could work....in theory was if you still had the old tarrif on the clock.
Now I wait and get mine done last....just in case.
Council had to pay to put everyones meter right....LOL

I bet the meter engineer muppets thought that British Summer Time was an hour back from the last Sunday in March instead of an hour forward!

That's how you got your two hour discrepancy, me thinks.

Meter Engineer Muppet, he say, "Ddddddduuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh!!"

The person who sets the meters sorted it out the next day, he got on to halda who sent him the rectified tariff info, did not have to go back down the golden mile

I did'nt mean your guy. I did mean Halda.

I presume they sent the correctly amended tariff down the Internet for your guy to download onto his tarriff chip & re-tariff the meters.

Did you ask for a receipt? Does your accountant ask where the receipts are? Does the tax man allow this expense without a receipt?

And how long ago was it that your Trading Standards checked that the waiting time charges on the meter were clicking over for the right amount of time?

I reckon its about 20 years since they did that in Brum!!!
