http://www.thisislincolnshire.co.uk/dis ... K=10823538 Has anyone ever had any experience of these buses? Lincoln is only a small City and Saturday night is our best night. A friend of mine said that a similar service is run in Nottingham. |

I think many councils have tried this, and only a few suceed. Its alright if you live near one of the few bus-stops, but would you like your wife or daughter having to walk the last mile/mile and a half on their own? Followed no-doubt by some of the idiots that also got the bus home, having first been refused a cab. A cab door to door, you can't ask for more.

As there are quite a few guests, it would be very strange if you didn't agree with at least one of them. |

Nottingham have been running late night buses for the last 5 years, Mansfield are starting to run them in October. Me I think they are a bad idea because all the Council are doing is moving the problem to another part of the district. |

I think he means that 50/60/70 yobs can be taken altogether in one go, which could lead to rare ups either on the buses, or when they get off them. It's a bit like runs from the naughty boys schools. Can you imagine 50/60/70 of them in one go?

Jeez! I agree with Nidge!!
I think these schemes are funded by the CDRP scheme, but as Nidge points out, the problems only moved to another area. The bad point of view from the trade is that can we really oppose such schemes? We always say were the only form of transport available, so when these schemes start it a bit difficult to say No our takings will go down. They all want a piece of our meat. regards Captain Cab |

This fund was supposed to help the Council clean up the litter hot spots, somehow they have channelled it into the buses. |
