used to love these, OAP's were given £100 per year, but the council would only accept them in £50 lots (and this was 15 years ago remember), so you had to wait and save em up, THEN, the clever guys (i wouldnt have done it) started paying £50 for £100 worth off OAP's who had cars or would never have used em and cashing em in at a profit, then the council got wind and warned us off!

I remember these well, we used to take them off the OAP's as form of payment.

Our's issue £35, twice a year, I think to disabled and over 75s.

Many drivers moan about them but, I love 'em. Save them up to pay council tax and you don't have to give change and the old uns often give you a lot more than the fare goes and....and....

Bring 'em on!

Our council doesn't issue them it offers a bus pass only BUT both Rutland and East Northants do which means i have to send them off to National transport tokens who charge me 5% plus VAT handling fee and no longer refund postage !!
