| Post subject: | cooking oil in a taxi |
i converted my car a while back to run on waste cooking oil i know there no problem with a normal mot as its a legal fuel and the emmitions is a lot lower than diesel . but wats it like for a taxi mot. |

waste cooking oil? from your chippy? how did you convert your car? BTW, an mot test for a diesel tests for smoke, not emissions |

my car is switchable so it can run on neat diesel from main tank or when it warms up i flick a switch then it turns the diesel of and turns my 30l tank on in my boot which is 100% waste cooking oil from curry shops and restaraunts . theres loads of info on the net about it bt beware not all cars are compatable . |

It stands to reason that this alternative fuel source must be be pretty well Exhausted, there are so many doing it nowadays and they are also having to compete with others that take used cooking to sell to Cosmetic companies so they can use it as well....all to gimmicky this idea not to mention Messy... who ever of heard of Rich Italian chip fat barons. |

there is alot of people collecting these days but when i start with the taxi i am expecting to save at least £300 a month on fuel . it is a bit messy but its worth it with the savings you make |

Should imagine it would be the same nationwide. |
