York taxi licensing know they would lose this if it was ever taken to court, and that supposedly came from the department. And if they did lose, would it be the same for the new rules that are coming in for the private hire fleet? Is the trade going for all three? |

And if they did lose, would it be the same for the new rules that are coming in for the private hire fleet? Is the trade going for all three? York Council have won very few taxi court cases over the years, the recently retired cabby, Mr P Wheatley and the deceased Mr Frank Marshall saw to that over the years, the council shook in their boots even when one of them was on to the phone to them the trouble is now we have no back bone leaders of the trade, the Council will now try anything on and to them its seems it will be a walk over the words uttered by some York taxi drivers seems to be "well they could deregulate" if this is not accepted times are hard now, you all see how many cabs are circling around town looking for work as the 20 odd new cabs have arrived, seems to me some of these new cab drivers are blokes who have retired once, but now issued with a plate i see now some of the plates owned by builders and plumbers are getting back their cabs for them to work as the building work as gone tits up i think if the case is won this will also be a win for York PH, both PH and Hacks in York have a good relationship, time now to get together and lets get it sorted out |

why do people want thanks or rewarding for a reply, it should be as taxi drivers goodwill, as it will get read and noted, and i dont see a need for a reply, but thanks anyway, it will eventually come in useful, but thats up to the chap doing the court case http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=K3d55p2G_ ... re=related I'm only the messenger, dont shoot the messenger, i ply this stuff on TDO hoping that some of the big wigs of either York Stn Taxis or the York Association do something, this does work cos we got the boss of Stn Taxis York coming on TDO to gives us all a bollocking, so TDO does work no one has ignored your posting, this my friend has been read by many of York taxi drivers, taxi drivers who do not log on to TDO but just read, lurkers i believe is the term, taxi drivers who have more knowledge and could do something about it have any of you noticed that some of the public out there do view TDO, when we talk to the public when they are passengers about what the Council are crucifying us with, some of the public say to us as drivers, have you been to a site on the internet called Taxi Driver Online, they may be able to help might even change my job http://www.flixxy.com/helicopter-cable-inspector.htm |

the words uttered by some York taxi drivers seems to be "well they could deregulate" if this is not accepted If you have issues with the York trade do something about it, I'm sure they'll appreciate your input. But perhaps those 'some drivers' have a fair point, the deregulation issue is something the York trade will be beaten about the head with, are you going to risk it? regards CC |
