Is it not possible to have a London section just like we have a Scottish section (just a thought)

There's not enough of us, besides you'd all miss the banter if we were hidden away and 'sectioned'.

Maybe we should have a LTDA/RMT 'mine is bigger than yours' section?

You couldn't, the RMT only have 'private rooms' within forums as they're too embarrased to share their views with the other 25'970 London drivers who are not members. :D

You mean the site formerly known as The London Taxi Drivers Forum, now masquerading as the RMT recruitment forum where you're posts exposing their alternative socialist agendas are removed unless you're one of the 27 RMT members who post on there?

Yep, you're probably right.

John Paul Pace and Bernie May can also promote their Minicab ventures on there. :D

My vote is yes to having a London Section on the Forum. And I’ve given it a lot of thought.

Now you might think that’s a little strange coming from a Brummie Cabbie, but my reasons why I think it would be a good idea are as follows;

1. I think there would be a good increase in members if London cabbies knew there was a London Section. And the more the merrier.
2. Some taxi laws relate only to the Metropolitan area & they are therefore governed by slightly different legislation. London cabbies debating some of these could give some insight or guidance to the rest of us.
3. A recent post by claudette was exclusively related to the London area; a post that I got involved in erroneously as it happens, but probably wouldn’t have, had I known it was a big London issue.
4. A greater London presence on this Forum, would I believe, eventually get some of those London lads to contribute to other topics outside the London Section, thereby stimulating debate.
5. Debate by London cabbies may highlight how they deal with certain problems, which could be beneficial to the provinces & you never know we could teach them a trick occasionally.
6. London cabbies don’t always like each other & one or two of the rucks could become the stuff of legends, for the rest the membership’s ‘entertainment’.

In all I just think it would benefit the Forum in the long term.

I thought I heard a yokel for a moment? 8-[

Anyway, I hear you and Bernie May are setting up together, apparantly you both used to like real Taxis, but now have a preference for saloon cars?

Does your one have the yellow TFL roudels?

I'm up for a London Section, but I'd like the moderator rights for it in case we get any guff posted from the Railway Union.

I'll be fair and unbiased. 8)
