Occasionally someone offers a job to be covered 'off their patch.' Unfortunately, if you don't see it early, it's liable to get lost in the plethora of other posts.

Also, why don't we capitalise on our own forum rather than all the fly-by-nights who come on here from time to time flogging their own scam?

Is it feasible and desirable to ask Alex to create a seperate board for such posts?

What's the view of the membership?

Something the National Cab trade should have been organising instead of leeches 20/30 odd years ago?

Good Idea

Maybe we need a 'behind closed doors section' for 'accredited' members only.

Based on, what, post count or time served or some other criteria.

Just thinking out loud.

We can have a members only section, that can only be seen by members who have logged on.

I don't mind. Maybe we can make this section members only and tweak the name a bit.

I think the idea was to keep some members out.

Why would you want to do that? I think the members you seek to keep out will think it a silly idea and won't want to be involved anyway :-|

I like the idea, but what happens if a job is passed & the receiver then does not do it for whatever reason?

The originator of the job is then in the sh*t!

I agree, but doesn't that happen to us all already?

My thoughts on the members only section were to keep occasional visitors from 'filching' the leads. No intention at all of keeping regulars out even if they are scotch or cumbrian!!!

Hopefully, anyone on here is sensible enough to complete a job that they have accepted, even if it turns out to be cr4p. Customer service must come first.
