Why is it not visible to people who are not members? Could it be that there is concern regarding the content of this section? There is no need to make this section viewable only to members it's always been the case that if you don't want to read it then don't visit it. If you don't log on you can't contribute to the rest of site :?

My guess is it's to avoid the possibility of defamatory content being viewed so widely that it leads to genuine legal problems from outside the TDO community.

One or two posts, some of which have now been deleted, have named individuals unconnected with TDO and contained comments which would almost certainly be held defamatory in court.

I believe Alex has acted sensibly to protect his own interests and preserve a forum for us all to enjoy, if my supposition above is correct.

I can think of some other steps he could take but that's been done to death elsewhere.

I understand this, the Scottish section has become an embarrassment to TDO, which has tried to promote itself as a decent centre for all things taxi.

Are TDO admitted there is libellous stuff in certain parts of the site, and to view it you have to become a member, and when you do you should have read the waiver?

What about those in Scotland who want to know whats going on? They might not be aware now that TDO has a Scottish section, with Scottish news and Scottish caselaw?
