I recently took responsibility for moderating the forum, but in typical trade forum fashion I've decided to abandon this forthwith. If a civilised and grown up forum is what people desire then most of the stuff posted over the weekend would be fit for only one thing - deletion. Moreover, one or two more members would have to be banned as well. However, and this seems to be the Catch 22 that besets any of the forums that see any degree of activity, if this level of moderation was attempted then there would soon be no forum left worth speaking of. So the forum will be left unmoderated in the meantime. I've got one car in an unrestricted area, and don't hire drivers, and I've spent far to much time in the past (particularly recently) dealing with the little games that people play on forums such as this, particularly when I've got a million and one other things that I could more usefully spend my time doing, even if it's not vegetating a taxi rank surrounded by part-time drivers hired by greedy owners who are quite happy to see them earn £3-4 per hour because they can offer them the perk of not having to pay tax. |

Good point steveo, but unfortunately there aren't really that many 'core' posters, and if one or two are banned then there won't be much in the way of discussion left. And you can see by Yorkie's obvious attempts to rile us in this thread that he'd love to bring the site down. After all, he's managed it on two already. Then he could move onto the new ones

You seem to think that you're clever posting nonsense like that, but even the dimmest person will realise that your post contains nothing that proved TDO has lied about the matter, he just thinks that if he uses the word liar lots of times then that proves it. Funny also that he has always been a big de-limitation man has our Yorkie, but then when someone else is advocating it then the victims are poor old hard working taxi drivers! Hope you stick to your socialist principles and pay your drivers a good hourly wage, lots of paid holidays and maternity/paternity leave Yorkie. Like hell you will! |

By the way Yorkie, the only reason that a forum will go 'tits up', as you put it, is if the admin throw a tantrum and press the delete key, as happened on Mick and Nidge's forum. I just can't see that happening on here somehow, so I wouldn't hold your breath. It certainly won't be my doing, because if I got that naffed off with it then I'll just stop posting, but I wouldn't delete it, because that would given you too much satisfaction
