Some people have been trying to register using hotmail/yahoo/gmail and a few other e-mail addresses we don't like.

So if you are using those e-mail addresses to register, well it ain't going to let you in.

It will have no effect on those already on here, but has been in place for years.

The reason I started this thread was that someone didn't like the idea of registering with an e-mail address other than one of the ones which the spammers and the porn sites use.

If this site allowed registration from users using hotmail/yahoo/gmail etc we would have 100s of people registering each day.

And some poor sod has to delete them.

Yea, I must say your doing a grand job in keeping the forums clean from bots and spammers. =D>

You might want to add *@yahoo.co.uk to your banned emails field.
I sneaked in with that one when I first registered in 2006
