Hello out there.

I've just tried to access the 1976 Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act file, but it didn't work. Can someone in Admin sort this out, please?

(Since I'm currently working as a PH driver, this piece of legislation is very important to me!)

Many thanks

The link on the home page appears to work but fails when I copy and paste it in here.

I can get to the link for the .pdf file, but when I click on it, or try to save the target, I get a "page error". This occurs in both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I suspect there might be a file permissions issue associated with the .pdf file.

I don't have a specific query, but thanks for asking. It's just that I've never read the Act before, although I've worked in 2 LA's over the last 8 years, both with a Hackney and a Private Hire badge. I feel it's about time I found out how the business is supposed to work!

If you copy it to your browser address header it will be find, else just use the link on the home page.

Thanks for the suggestion, Sussex, but it still doesn't work.

If it works for you, it may be because the relevant file is cached on your hard drive, in which case you'd be accessing it from there, not from the Internet, which is what I'm trying to do.

Could you try accessing the file from a different machine, or by using a different browser? Or by going to the page where the link to the file is shown. Then refresh the page and see if you can still access the file.

Thanks for your help, and I apologise for being such a pain in the bum!
