Irrespective what this anticipated report does or does not say, now is the time for the trade to start, really start, to bang-on about enforcement.

I agree, but I will bet you a pound to a penny the trade will go on about one issue only should it be deemed surplus to requirements in the report.

Although I doubt it will.

An effective way to control numbers on both sides of the trade would be helpful.

Clean driving licence for at least twenty years.

Resting pulse rate under 60.

Must be teetotaller and non-smoker

How to reduce numbers overnight if they decide the PH become taxis
Only the operator who applied for the licence can drive the vehicle
so owner drivers only, if that owner wants a night off, the vehicle is parked up at his or her house
Or the other scenario if an owner requires a driver he or she must employ and pay the minimum wage to that driver along with all other employee benefits :D

They weren't overly impressive at the Committee hearings, and I'm not too sure they will get a warm response form a coalition majority committee.

So!!

How soon can the Politburo  of TDO get the Transport Select Committee's report onto these well-visited, well-viewed and read-by-many TDO pages after the report's official release time and date of 00.01hrs on Tuesday 19th July 2011?

Would 00.02hrs on Tuesday 19th July 2011 be a little too soon?

I have faith in the TDO Politburo; 00.02hrs on Tuesday 19th July 2011 is NO PROBLEM!!

I just has to be a Sticky!!

Another leak from the report
All operators requiring drivers must now employ them.
