An interesting side issue to this thread, Rainycityripoff the site that first broke this story, tell me that there has been a surge of referral's to their site by east European search engines.

I do not want to sound paranoid, but is somebody looking for a scam here. If anyone with contact to Alex could perhaps look at his stats for this blog, has he had referral's from east Europe as well.

I suspect TDO get zillions of spam, but as all e-mails go through the host thankfully they vet them all, and bin 99.99% of them.

As for the increase in traffic, the last time Alex mentioned it he said TDO gets several million hits a month, so I doubt some dodgy Eastern Europeans would effect it that much.

I have a copy of the report. It is nothing to worry about, after all the speculation, nothing will be done again. A complete waste of paper.

The proposal for a Greater Manchester plate had already been mentioned last year. The new TfGMA are already working on it. For the new report to SUGGEST it means they probably are retarded.
