I have been to another meeting with the LC today, in Stratford on Avon.

This time the meeting was organized by NALEO and the vast majority of those attending were Licensing Officers and Managers. To be honest the only people from the Poachers side were the three of us from Plymouth.

I found it extremely interesting that the Gamekeepers had various and opposing views from each other.

Some were in "Unlimited" some from "Limited" and some from "Re-limited" Authorities.

I am still digesting what went on and I don't intend writing reams tonight but I will try over the next day or two to illuminate some of the key points that came up.

There is nothing more annoying than being told to wait and see, some of us are born with an impatience gene ffs

Will you eventually get a full transcript of the meeting, or wasn't it as well organised as the one you arranged in Exeter?

There will be no transcript.

I do have some bookings to cover today but I will pick some highlights from my own recording (total 191mb if anyone wants them) and put them on here in minute form when I get the time.

In a nutshell - as lots was said about areas a, b and c the biggest thing I noticed was that:

Licensing Officers in area a did not agree with Licensing Officers from area b and the Licensing Officers from area c thought that areas a and b had it all wrong!

It was disappointing that only Plymouth represented the Hackney Trade, nobody from PH and no "User Groups".

The meeting in Exeter at least had all except the "Users" - and I did really try to get them as well (and transcripts).

Personally I intend no more meetings, but if anyone knows of one where ALL the parties will take part, I may reconsider.

NALEO organised the three meetings this week on Monday in London, Tuesday in Stratford-upon-Avon and today in Sheffied and if you wanted to spend £55 a pop, you too could have attended if there were spaces left.
