Recommendation 26 is an interesting one. if minbuses with up to 16 passengers seats are allowed to be licensed under private hire, would that mean that the driver would only need a private hire drivers license and not a PCV drivers license? |

Sounds like it. My wife is counting on it. At the moment she is the only driver we have for our minibus and she want's to retire. It is only the fact that we don't have another driver that is stopping her. |

Is seems that the report also addresses the concerns regarding the customer booking with one company and ending up with a car from another company by making the company taking the booking tell the customer who will be picking them up. It would also seem that, if I want, I can accept bookings without a license and as long as I give the work to a licensed driver and vehicle, I can work from anywhere. Even Spain. ![]() |
