Only 4 taxi ranks 2.5 cars per rank, but it appears Ashbourne street is a 24hr clearway?
Public car park, I wonder if you have to pay and display.

Bolsover – Public Car park adjacent to the Co-op in the Market Place
Clowne – Public Car park adjacent to the old Clowne Contact Centre, Church Street.
Shirebrook – Ashbourne Street. Roadside rank
Barlborough – High Street adjacent to Barlborough Village Hall.

Wait until the Bolsover plates start flooding in, they'll give anyone a licence even if you have a current criminal record and over 12 points on your driving licence.

One Mansfield licensed PH driver was caught in a sting and was slapped with 9 points, an IN10 and a £1500 fine. Mansfield revoked his badge so he got a Bolsover licence and continued to work in Mansfield as a PH driver.

They also have drivers who've had their badges revoked with other councils because of criminal convictions driving on Bolsover licences.

Bolsover p/hire can't work through Mansfield basis, only hacks can legally do that, and there's only 10 hacks in Bolsover , but there are 260 p/hires and 50 operators, must be a busy place.

They're all satellite offices with Hackneys and PH that are working in Mansfield.

Looks like things are changing
(iii) That the following two additional conditions on the Operators Licence (as contained in section 3.6 of the report) be added :
• The operator shall maintain an independent operation in Mansfield by the installation of a dedicated telephone line to the Mansfield Office with its own unique telephone number.
• The telephone number used must be exclusive to the Operators Licence
and for these to be included on all licenses by 31 December, 2014.

Looks like there going to licence all Bolsover vehicles in Mansfield ?
As you will be aware, Mansfield District Council has an historic problem relating to vehicles licensed outside of the area, primarily operating within the district. Working in partnership with other neighbouring districts and in line with recent case law (Newcastle City Council v Blue Line) the Council is proposing to address this matter. Authorisation is therefore sought for the Licensing Section to carry out an eight week period of consultation on the proposal a relaxing the policy for Operators currently licensed by Mansfield District Council, which also operate vehicles licensed by other authorities, despite having their base within this district, to be able to re-licence them with MDC, without the vehicles meeting the age criteria for new licensed vehicles. It is proposed that this relaxation to the policy will be allowed for 18 months, providing that the vehicles meet the other elements of the Specification and Licence Conditions.

I can't quite work out how they have a Bolsover base in Mansfield ? As this would be illegal or how they can licence operators outside there district.
(ii) That grandfather rights be given to any Operators already licensed by Mansfield District Council that were outside the border of the District.

3.3 At present there is a condition/policy which limits the area that Mansfield District Council will issue a Private Hire Operators Licence to within 5 miles outside of the district border.

Looks like there aiding and abetting,
