Congratulations to the 9-5 office clerk who has decided to allow Shaftesbury Avenue to be closed westbound from Sunday for 11 nights between 8pm and 6am.

It maybe a quiter Xmas build up than normal, but this will create nothing short of total gridlock.

It would be bad enough if done in January, but December, god help us.

Is that the same pratt who allowed St Margaret's Street/Millbank (a strategic route for those outside London) to be closed for TWO days after the State Opening of Parliament?
Good to see work has restarted on the Clerkenwell Road railway bridge.
It started in 1989,although one lane was reopened in the mid 1990's...
Will the second lane be opened for 2012?
