Totally agree with you JD the cake is only so big and the more people there are wishing a slice the smaller the slice becomes for everyone else.

Totally agree with you JD the cake is only so big and the more people there are wishing a slice the smaller the slice becomes for everyone else.



Dundee has had an open policy on licences since 1999, we are now in a position with as many licenses being granted every month as there are surrendered, and we still have a problem with private hire plying illegally. My slice of cake is so small and the sad part is I can’t afford the cream to have with it.

Our biggest problem is that the majority of the trade only see a solution that's best for them rather than looking for what we could change that would improve things for everyone and until the trade stop looking at the problem from their perspective and not everyone else's perspective then we will always be treated powerless & ineffective.

you are spot on over and out ,unfortunatly most of the trade only want to fill their pockets and dont join associations or keep up to date with the proper info,getting through to them is going to be a tough job,my slice of the cake has also got smaller,it really anoys me that the cake is still being eaten by benefit cheats,they are only able to get away with it because the ops are turning a blind eye and allowing them to use their pin numbers,they are in turn getting away with it because the offices are not checking who is driving which cab,i posted a while back about a op who had 3 drivers all using his pin number,turns out he himself is on benefits(had cancer)he now works fulltime and between him and his 3 drivers they are eating a lot of cake

Maybe it’s time we started to clean up our own back yard by shopping the cheats & plate hirer's to the authorities, as I have said all we do is moan about it but we can all do something about it. e.g. anytime I end up on a drug run the addresses I am asked take my undesirable passengers to I pass on to the drugs hotline number maybe we should start doing the same with our own undesirables in the trade.
