It takes energy to produce hydrogen...but I hear that almost all the worlds energy needs can be produced by a limitless supply of geothermal heat which after drilling arrives at the earths surface as steam which can drive tubines to produce electricty...this can be used to fuel the hydrogen process.

The great thing about geothermal heat is that it is limitless and regenerates the heat source in the drill site every 40 years...

the car/engine manufacturers and the oil companies dont want you to have anything other than internal combustion engines, so dont get your hopes up just yet
