Braintree: Taxi driver attacked for second time A taxi driver is considering quitting his job after being assaulted for the second time in three months.
Ramesh Krishan, 47, claims two passengers assaulted him on October 30 after trying to dodge a fair.
He is now renewing calls for CCTV cameras to be installed in Braintree cabs.
Mr Krishanan picked up the man and woman aged in their late teens from the town centre taxi rank at around 2.30am.
He drove them to an address on Martin’s Meadow, Braintree but when he pulled over they jumped out without paying.
Mr Krishnan followed the couple to Lammas Drive and telephoned the police.
He claims the woman, who was drunk, verbally and physically assaulted.
The pair refused to pay the £15.00 fare until police officers arrived.
Mr Krishnan was attacked in May over a 70p fare.
He said: “I am worried something will happen to me.
