Sussex says my first thoughts were..... eh?. How do you know what my first thoughts were, Esp?. Read the post again, the first sentence asked, .... “Were they picked up from a House/ Flat” ?. I then went on to say that, “If”, repeat, “If”, they were picked up off the street then the driver should be charged. Selective reading of posts or what ?. I again ask, “What’s the “Niddrie”, thing Skull ?.

Implying the job must have been a street pick up?

Why would anyone ask that otherwise?

Well look at it this way, where the miscreants were picked up never even crossed my mind. The issue was a guy being robbed a knife-point and whether or not the police were doing all they could to catch the scum who committed the crime. You, on the other hand, saw it as an opportunity to do some Ph bashing, speculating, that he was picking up illegally in the street, and if so, he should be charged.

Only a desperately inadequate individual could think the way you do. #-o

I think Skull gets angry with me because I keep mentioning the, “Drumsheugh”, incident when he lost the rag and assaulted the driver of a, Land/Range Rover. He left the Trade after that because he knew he, quite rightly, would have been tossed out anyway. So I can understand him being annoyed wae’ me, but, Niddrie ?, what’s that aw’ aboot ?.

Far from it. I think you have shown by your statement why any sane person would want to get out of the trade. I only wish I'd done it sooner. It's a question of having standards. :-|

Fairplay, I think there comes a point when climbing back under your Niddrie rock, is the right thing to do. You've shown yourself up big time. "picking up in the street" #-o

In the interest of clarity, there's nothing wrong with Niddrie, unless of course, you've developed a hang up, in being brought up there. How else would you explain the way you think?

Skull, Niddrie is a fantastic place, especially at this time of the year, (Christmas).
The Las Vegas, “Strip”, is dull compared to here. I would encourage people to drive through Niddrie at night and be amazed at the 30 ft Santas adorning the sides of the houses. The electrically lit Rudolph & santa’s little helpers glowing in the gardens.... The flashing, multi-coloured bulbs on every window of the houses..... aye, it’s a sight to behold !. Oh. and btw everyone of us has got oor’, “Electric Meters” fiddled as well... Ha ha ha ha

You know you’re from Niddrie when......

Yer Granny is 36.

The Bride is the one in the white shell-suit.

You ask Alfie, from, (McGowan Motors) to sign your Passport request.

WHO ARE YOU LOOKIN’ AT ?

Ha ha ha ... GOD BLESS NIDDRIE !!

Fairplay: Yer Nan's 36; as old as that?

You forgot something, there's no Bride & Groom sides as everyone's a Cousin, Uncle or Aunt!

Sounds a bit like B***sbank to me
