MK ex-chairman wants to become taxi driver following son's arrest

TOKYO — The 76-year-old founder of taxi operator MK Co expressed his desire Monday of again becoming a rank-and-file taxi driver as an act of public contrition for his 41-year-old son's recent arrest on suspicion of assaulting a railway worker.
"I want to sit behind the wheel again," Sadao Aoki told a press conference after his son, Masaaki Aoki, president of group company Tokyo MK Corp, was arrested on a charge of assault. (Kyodo News)
