Like PHV's ranking outside pubs with false names supplied by offices?

We have many more taxis illegally plying down here than PH. [-X

I don't agree with pirating but I don't agree with unfair competition either.

There's no unfair competition, it's a Hackney Carriage Zone only. They've done it in the interest of public safety.

As I said earlier, are they suggesting that hackneys are safer drivers than private hire?[/quote]

They never said that did they? When a Private Hire goes down a Street a normal motorist thinks he can follow.

Is that the fault of the private hire driver, they'd soon stop if they are ticketed, that is a feeble excuse for stopping private hire from going about their business.

In Nottingham, there are loads of streets in the city centre that private hire and out of town hackneys are not allowed. Some drivers from here have now stopped accepting fares to or from Nottingham city centre because they can't take the customer where they want to go.

I think in Derby they have a specific Hackney livery so they are obviously taxis but PH look like any other car so I think in this instance that wouldn't apply
