happy days for PH drivers in High Wycombe i see.

sad to see that those striking cannot see further than their noses. they cant see that those punters that were 'forced' to use PH they probably wont see again, and they'll sit on the ranks outside bars wondering why the punters are ringing PH companies instead of getting in a hack parked outside.

no doubt the police will be pulling over a few extra of them each week too.

Police confirmed that a 33-year-old man was arrested on June 3 on suspicion of theft and has been bailed for further investigation until July 2.

A second man was arrested for threatening and abusive behaviour during a routine stop and search in Queen Victoria Road, High Wycombe. He received a caution, and was later released.

It seems unusual that Taxi drivers should strike just because one person was arrested on suspicion of theft and another for abusive behaviour. It would appear that both incidents didn't involve passengers so I wonder all the fuss is about?

Regards

JD

Perhaps the local trade representatives think they have got nothing to lose, and they have been aching for a strike.

But as has been said, it could back fire if the reason given for the strike is a shallow one. And please someone tell me when a strike has worked. :?

The only thing strikes do is to split the trade between those that strike, and those that think the strike is a pointless exercise, and therefore work.

You can understand the bit about 'lack of Police action'.

Look at the results of the years of inactivity by the Met in regard to touting?

Last night was unbelievable, gridlocked traffic in Cambridge Circus all because of the hundreds (literaly) of touts cars.

We are constantly told its not a priority, yep hundreds of sexual assaults, and many attempted or actual rapes are commited by these people, one wonders if they then become a priority.

Perhaps its just me? or is this country going rather quickly down the pan?

Roll on 2021! I'm off. 8)
