As long as they are parked up they are legal

The biggest problem is Bluetooth technology which is very unreliable we need a replacement technology that actually works

I can't say I have had any reliability problems with any of the Bluetooth headsets I've owned..

between myself and all of my drivers none of us have owned a bluetooth in the last 5 years that didn't stop working with at least one phone. i just bought another last week and it connected fine to my personal mobile but will not recognise the business mobile

I once bought one that stopped working after just 2 hours !!!!

what is needed is voice activated technology that means you don't have to use touch at all

Under £55 and fully voice activated...the only thing it can't do itself is climb up on yer Lugs.

Cheshire Police have this on their website,

Quote:
Where do taxi drivers stand with regard to their PDAs?
PDA’s don’t fall into mobile phone category. Like in the case of any in car equipment, the driver must be in proper control of their vehicle at all times.
