ARRESTS After Alleged 4am Taxi Robberies In Port Glasgow

DETECTIVES have made arrests after two taxi drivers were allegedly robbed at knife-point in Port Glasgow within 15 minutes.

A 37-year-old man has been charged in connection with an incident in Grampian Road in which a taxi driver was allegedly robbed of a two-figure sum by a passenger around 3.50am on Saturday.

The second incident involved a taxi which had travelled from the Gibshill area to Oronsay Avenue around 4am.

A 35-year-old man has been charged with robbing the driver of items.

The men are due to appear in court on Monday.
