Edinburgh Council Drop the Ball M&V hit the press

Read it and weep boys. I think you can safely say the C.E.C is losing this battle hands down.

It would seem that every case since Mackie, has gone in favour of the license applicants, I wonder why?

The link is a bit iffy, so I have posted the contents below FOC.

City cabbie hails court licence win

A CAPITAL cabbie's court victory against the city council has threatened to open the floodgates for taxi licences.

The number of black cabs on city streets could rocket after the local authority lost its legal battle to postpone a decision on Vince Boylan's application for a licence.

The council delayed his licence application, and dozens of others, while a report on demand for taxis was compiled.

But the process dragged on for too long, and Mr Boylan took the council to court. The sheriff in charge of the case has now told city chiefs they must hand a licence to M&V Taxis because of the time delay.

Don't you just love it when the panic sets in.

You want to see the vested interest mob now.

The legal services department are even filtering out my emails, seems Mr Miller and Co don't want the councillors to be informed of the [edited by admin] he's landed them in.

:D
