Burrough on the hill is a very small village. It is between 2 slightly larger villages, Somerby and Twyford. The road is not even designated as an A or B road. Burrough is closer to Melton as the nearest town by virtue of a single track road than goes from the village to Great Dalby before getting to Melton. Before the current owners took on the pub and changed the name back to the Stag and Hounds it was known as grants and was owned by the the micro brewery next door, which brews one of the strongest ales in England at 12% ABV by the name of Baz's Bonce Blower. Ex England cricketer Matthew Hoggard lives in the village and is an occasional customer of ours.

After the 'Tesla Taxi Company' based in [wherever], here's another one in that neck of the woods using an EV for marketing purposes :-o

This one's plated by Rutland, though, and is presumably actually an HC, thus unlike the Melton-plated PHV Tesla 'taxi'.

Oakham taxi firm goes green with Rutland's first electric cab

A town taxi firm has launched the county's first 'green' taxi.

Berridge Taxis, of Oakham has been in business for more than 40 years, and has decided it's time to give Rutland its first all-electric taxi.

The Volkswagen ID4 will cover local, long-distance and airport runs.

"The EV is something we have been working towards for some time, but the high cost of the initial purchase has been a barrier," said company director Suzanne Bussingham.

"So many customers have asked when we would be going electric, so we have decided to dip our toe in the water.

"We are hoping the response from customers will be overwhelmingly positive and the vehicle will work for us logistically.

"The scenario here in rural Rutland is wholly different to more urban settings where local authorities are pressing taxi firms to go green to improve air quality."

Meanwhile, I see the Tesla Taxi Company's website is a bit more informative as regards where it's operating: "Servicing Melton Mowbray-Leicestershire-Rutland-East Midlands and the wider area."

Still can't see any sort of postal address on its website, though. But there is the likes of the page below - I mean, what's the actual point of all this? :-s

And it looks as if it's been copied and pasted from Wikipedia and other sources, but there's no credit given. But it's obvious that it's been pasted from elsewhere, because the first footnote is numbered 13

Really?

I have never been asked by a punter when I'm going to buy an electric car.

EV batteries lose about 5% of their range ability each year, that means a new EV could see its 300 Mile Range shrink to around 210 miles by the time it's only 6 years of age.

We have had our Nissan Leaf for 2 years and 3 months now and the range has not changed so far.

We used to get asked quite a lot when we fist got our Prius and now we have one it is often a talking point for customers.

They run from Burrough on the Hill, linked to the Stag and Hounds pub.

Thought it a bit strange that you seemed totally unaware of the fact that much of the thread above is about establishing the link from the Tesla Taxi Co to the village and pub there, and about whether or not it comes under Melton :-o

But I now realise you're just being sarcastic at my expense. Well played =D>

Talking of sarcasm, and why I think you're now being sarcastic, I recall spending quite a lot of time schooling Edders on whether or not it's appropriate to place Burrough-on-the-Hill under Melton
