Hey everyone,

I'm looking for some advice on where to get the best private hire insurance for my taxi. I've recently received quotes from both Acorn and https://www.zego.com/private-hire/, but they both seem to be quite expensive.

Do you have any recommendations for more affordable options? I'd appreciate it if you could share your experiences with different insurance providers or any tips on how to find the best deal.

Thanks in advance!

wrong section for this (rookie error) if you go to the "administration" section there are multiple threads discussing insurance but basically the best advice is to shop around often the best deals can be found at local brokers but if you have a look through that section and then go on the PHTM website where lots of "taxi specialist" brokers advertising on there but it varies from broker to broker one person can get a good deal at one broker whereas for someone else it's another.

I always go to a local broker.

They might not always be the cheapest, but should you need to claim, or have a claim against you, they can do all the donkey work face to face.

Might be an idea to see where many of the local taxi drivers go.

Definately worth spending time searching though, if you spend a day or half a day asking for quotes, you will save more than you would have earnt in that time.

Be interesting to see where you find the best price.
