A Norwich taxi driver is set to stand trial accused of hitting a man over the head with a car jack during a street fight.

Ziad Tahboob, 44, of Beverly Close, pleaded not guilty to assault occasioning actual bodily harm at Norwich Magistrates’ Court.

Prosecutors said the charge related to an altercation on July 13 last year where witnesses had described two men fighting.

He was given unconditional bail until a trial set for December 16.
