To be fair to LBC, the article is timestamped late on Sunday, while many news outlets were covering the incident earlier on the Sunday, and the incident itself happened in the early hours of that Sunday
So it wasn't really that long ago. But already seemed like that on Tuesday morning.
But, if anyone else on here is like me, then the timing of a lot of news stuff like this is a bit more confusing than it was back in the day.
So I often read stuff online early in the morning, then later that day read the same stuff and think it's a couple of days out of date, only to realise that the news actually broke earlier the same day (and made worse by the fact that I'm often sleeping during the day between the early morning and late-night news).
Then the same stuff appears in the printed press next day, and you think it happened days previously, but it was actually just yesterday
24-hour news cycle/rolling news media, or something like that.
