An MK City Council Taxi Enforcement Officer was carrying out routine checks at Station Square on March 26 2025 when she stopped a Transport for London private hire vehicle with visible damage.
Checks showed the driver, Hassan Mwalim of Old Farm Park in Milton Keynes, did not hold a private hire driver licence, a full UK driving licence, or valid insurance.
The vehicle owner, Maabadi Shaaban Ali Mgidos from London, was found to have allowed the vehicle to be used illegally.
Last month both men appeared in court and were found guilty..
Both were ordered to pay a £660 fine, a £264 victim surcharge and £592 in costs, making a total of £1,516. apiece. Each received eight DVLA penalty points
A council spokesperson said: “Transport for London has been notified of the outcome. MK City Council continues to carry out regular enforcement checks to protect passengers and ensure only licensed and insured drivers operate in the city.”
