Been and visited today.

New venue which didn't seem as big but still enough room.

It is a shame that our industry can't come up with something a little more 'inspiring'.

Problem is that firms can be inspiring, but most of the taxi/PH trade just want the cheapest.

But was it the best ever?

Pray tell Mr Tom, were Auriga bigging up the boxes or the XDA/PDA/iPACs?

For some unknown reason I received a frosty greeting when I approached the Auriga Stand. They didn't invite me on for a demonstration.

In fairness though, their stand was very busy and well populated with visitors all day.

I always find the discussions that go on in the coffee shop area more informative.

As I have said on the appropriate thread, Autocab were getting positive comments. Though I hear rumours of a heavily subsidised onslaught of Auriga customers wanting the CT4000's working. Was shocked to hear that the CT4000 has no built in speaker and needs one connected externally.

Funny how I saw lots of smiling faces walking round, invariably they belonged to people who had installed Cordic in last 8 months.

Yet again the dolly birds were generally faded. And situated on the most desperate stands.

For 75% of the population Coventry does count as the Southern Show.

As a first timer the show i found was a more in depth view of whats in the PHM,
Seen a couple of things that struck our eyes, a few things that didnt, but thats what its all about.
Without going into the office to collect leaflets and info these are the ones that come to mind.

AutoCab - Good demo, but said "Install our system and your jobs will increase by 15%", my reply, "How can a computer system make my phone ring more often"

Auriga - "Good demo, good price"

Mercury - Fobbed us off to attend a seminar, BYE BYE

Cordic - Good demo, answered all the questions asked straight away and showed us the answer to our questions.

Some other guy showed us his system, bored us to death then introduced us to another company as regards the PDA for them, that good i cant remember it's name.
