Do you think they will ever work it out, higher tariffs means less bums on seats?

Never mind the Ph and the council run bus company will be pleased.

And yet, in "Roland's Rag" (PH Monthly) Edinburgh are placed in 168 position in the fare league table, with a £1:50 drop. So who has got it wrong?

I don’t think it’s about whether or not your fares are the most expensive it’s more about public perception and them believing they are. Enter the poor unsuspecting victim (The Edinburgh Public) pursued mercilessly by the villainous taxi driver (GBC) looking to take all your money. Do you give him all your money or do you give it to someone a little less of a villain like the Ph or the Bus company? Then again if you wanted to promote a cheaper vehicle with the possiblity of cheaper fares?

Different ball game now isn’t it. :D

Then again

the difference is between tariff1 and 2 journalist's hate to let the facts get in the way of a story

“Our main cost is fuel and I would wager that’s risen by 10p a litre since 2004.”

So wouldn't it be better to get actual figures rather than what is essentially a guess? I mean, we're talking 2004, not 1904.

And if his main cost is fuel then he must be using very fuel-inefficient vehicles.

Come in Wayne?
